Cast in ultra-pure New Zealand kaolin porcelain and fired at 2,462°F (1350°C). At that temperature, the kiln burns white. The porcelain that survives comes out transformed, denser, brighter, and stronger. In the deepest carved areas, light gathers and passes through the form.
